Identifying terminology

Indeed identifying and clarifying religious terminology, explaining their significance and correcting their connotations is an extremely important matter at a time in which values have become shaky and what they stand for has become unclear. Most of the time the indicators towards values of fairness, righteousness and forgiveness can no longer be found. Without a doubt the most important of all contemporary cases for our present nation and the most called for to define and clarify is the real meaning of moderation in all its facets whether they are mental, lawful, intellectual, or indeed epistemic; because moderation is a lawful doctrine by which righteousness is entrusted and upon it lies the erection of civilization. But we find that the intellectual path is staggering between extremism and deviation on one side and licentiousness and negativity on the other. It is incumbent upon us to put a stop to this crookedness, in the hope of correcting the misunderstanding present. From the beginning, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic affairs for the state of Kuwait conceived the idea for the promotion of Moderation they have taken a prominent role in this field with their diligent plans, informative programs and regular activities.

The International Moderation Centre has been founded as a fruit of this diligence and dedication in order to illuminate the Islamic nation. As a result of this noble cause comes the taking place of the 'International Moderation Conference' in Washington from November 17-19 in collaboration with the Islamic leaders and elite of America to expound and deepen the understanding of the way of Moderation. As well as looking at Moderation and its place in Islamic jurisprudence, we will be examining various literatures on the subject. This will help in the erection of a correct and just partnership that promotes positive relations with an eye to preserving identity.
